ABU DHABI, July 24 (Xinhua) -- U.S. entertainment giant Warner Bros. inaugurated on Tuesday its first indoor theme park in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates.

"As the tourist number continues to grow in the light of recent reduction in hotel and municipality fees for hotels, the launch of Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi (fun park) is expected to increase family and leisure tourism numbers," Saif Saeed Ghobash, director general of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi, said in an e-mailed release.

The public is expected to flock to the fun and leisure park located on Abu Dhabi's Yas Island from Wednesday onward.

Abu Dhabi hosted 2.1 million overnight guests from January to May, up 4.9 percent from the same period in 2017.
