Nakatila to fight against Moliati for WBO Africa Super featherweight title

WINDHOEK, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Namibia's Jeremiah Nakatila will trade leather with Malawi's Crispin Moliati for the WBO Africa Super Featherweight title on Aug. 3.

The 12-round duel is the headline of a boxing bonanza, dubbed the "Desert Rumble 3", in Namibia's coastal town of Swakopmund.

Namibia's MTC Nestor Tobias Sunshine Boxing Academy, the host of the boxing bonanza, announced on Tuesday that two other titles fights will also be showcased

They are the WBF Africa Middleweight fight between Jimmy Mabunji (DRC) and Lukas Ndafoluma (Nam) and the WBF Africa Junior Lightweight between Abraham Ndaendapo (Nam) and Bilindo Eseko (DRC). Both are earmarked for 12 rounds.

Nakatila, who is currently ranked 5th in the circuit, boasts of 15 wins and 1 loss.

"I am happy and honored with the fight as it presents an opportunity to show off my potential. I am ready for the fight and I can guarantee that I will display some classic boxing in the ring," he said.

Moliati, who will jet in Namibia on July 30, boasts of 22 wins and 8 losses.

Other under card fights on the night include the Junior Welterweight and Junior Bantan Weight fights which will be four rounds each. Enditem
