Pakistan condemns Afghanistan's mosque suicide attack

ISLAMABAD, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan Friday strongly condemned the suicide attack during Friday prayers at a mosque in Afghan city of Gardez, the capital of Paktia province that has resulted in loss of precious lives and injuries to many other worshippers.

The death toll from the attack has exceeded 30. No group claimed responsibility yet.

"Pakistan condemns terrorism in all forms and manifestations. We also reiterate our solidarity with Afghanistan in their fight against the common enemy of terrorism," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"Pakistan stands together with the government and people of Afghanistan in this hour of grief," the statement said.

The Foreign Ministry expressed deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the recovery of the injured.
