LONDON, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Sergio Aguero score twice to earn Premier League champion Manchester City a 2-0 victory over FA Cup winner Chelsea on a scorching day to lift the 2018 FA Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday.

Aguero, City's all-time record goalscorer, scored once in each half for his record-extending 200th and 201st goals for City.

Pep Guardiola's side broke the deadlock in the 13th minute when 18-year-old Phil Foden drove at the Chelsea defence before slipping a pass to Aguero, who drove a low left-footer past former City team-mate Willy Caballero and into the bottom corner.

Aguero, who returned from the World Cup as Argentina was eliminated in the round of 16, added his second in the 58th minute, finishing off a lightning counter attack with a low finish past Caballero following an incisive pass from Bernardo Silva.

Both Guardiola and Chelsea's new manager Maurizio Sarri gave youth a chance, with two of England's U17 World Cup winners impressing their managers. City's Foden caught the eye with his fatal pass to Aguero and Chelsea's 17-year-old Callum Hudson-Odoi provided the best moments in attack.

Sarri was without his best forward player Eden Hazard and goalkeepr Thibaut Courtois, both linked with moves to Real Madrid.

City, who won last year's title by 19 points, were also without some of their stars - with Kevin de Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and David Silva all absent.
