DUBAI, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- United Arab Emirates's (UAE) DP World, one of the world's biggest commercial port firms, said Tuesday that it bought acquisition of 100 percent of Denmark's container feeder Unifeeder Group for 660 million euros (765.2 million U.S. dollars).
DP World said in a statement that the acquisition was from Nordic Capital Fund VIII and certain minority shareholders.
Based in Aarhus, Denmark, Unifeeder operates both deep-sea container hubs and the intra-Europe container freight market, said the statement.
The acquisition will further enhance DP World's presence in the global supply chain and broaden product offering to its customers, the shipping lines and cargo owners, it said.
The current operations of Unifeeder are complementary to DP World's existing business and provide future growth opportunities, it added.
