FRANKFURT, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 14.65 points, or 0.12 percent, to close at 12,633.54 points.
European health care company Fresenius SE lost 3.77 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by energy group E.ON and multinational chemical firm Linde, which lost 2.41 percent and 2.38 percent respectively.
German airlines Lufthansa gained 1.43 percent, the top gainer. Deutsche Post advanced 1.30 percent. Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies went up by 1.17 percent.
Reinsurance company Munich Re was the most traded share, with a turnover of 250.37 million euros (290.15 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
