YANGON, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar has opened two new international border check points with India at Tamu and Reedhorda to facilitate travel on both sides, Myanmar News Agency reported Thursday.

The Tamu and Reedhorda border check points in Sagaing region and Chin state, which link India's Moreh and Zowkhaw respectively, were opened simultaneously on Wednesday as an implementation of landmark Land Border Crossing Agreement signed between Myanmar and India in May.

People holding passports and valid visas will be allowed to enter and exit through these international border check points, the report said.

Myanmar and India signed the agreement on border crossing during a visit to Myanmar by Indian Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj on May 11.
