BERLIN, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Poland secured the gold medal in the women's 4x400m final with 3 minutes 26.59 seconds at the inaugural multi-sport European Championships in Berlin Olympic Stadium on Saturday.
Poland secured the victory with a strong finish, which kept France in the second place with 3 minutes 27.17 second and Great Britain in third with 3 minutes 27.40 seconds.
The European Championships is the first edition of a new multi-sport event, which is jointly hosted by Glasgow and Berlin. More than 4,500 athletes are competing for 187 gold medals until August 12.
