PRAGUE, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Czech customs officers from the anti-drug department detained 11 drug dealers in South Moravia, the Czech customs said Friday in a statement.

Among other results were 40 kilograms of marijuana, 631 pieces of cannabis plant, 150 tablets of ecstasy and a gun with cartridges.

According to the statement, the customs officers, in cooperation with the police, also eliminated two outdoor cannabis plants in the Czech towns of Vyskov and Znojmo, and carried out house inspections.

Investigation also revealed that the drug gang most likely operated their drug trafficking not only in the Czech Republic, but also abroad.

There were 11 people involved in criminal activity. Four of them are currently in custody under investigation, others still remain at large and are being prosecuted, said Lada Temnakova, a spokeswoman for the South Moravian Customs Office.

The detainees are at risk to face the imprisonment for eight to twelve years with property confiscation for the criminal offences of illegal manufacturing and handling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and poisons.
