Dollar changes hands in mid-110 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-110 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, largely in line with its levels in New York late last week.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 110.48-49 yen compared with 110.45-55 yen in New York and 110.70-72 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1437-1438 dollars and 126.37-41 yen against 1.1434-1444 dollars and 126.45-55 yen in New York and 1.1388-1389 dollars and 126.07-11 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
