FRANKFURT, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index up 120.75 points, or 0.99 percent, to close at 12,331.30 points.
German industrial giant Thyssenkrupp won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 2.54 percent. Tire specialist Continental and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel rose by 2.39 percent and 2.36 percent respectively.
Commerzbank lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 0.20 percent. Deutsche Bank down by 0.06 percent.
Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer was the most-traded share with a turnover of 400.43 million euros (457.29 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
