BUENOS AIRES, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- River Plate continued their listless start to the Superliga Argentina season with a goalless home draw against Argentinos Juniors on Saturday.
The hosts enjoyed 68 percent of possession but couldn't find a way past Juniors' defense at El Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires.
The result means 36-time top flight champions River have now been held to three goalless draws from as many matches this campaign.
In other games on Saturday, Talleres de Cordoba won 2-0 at Gimnasia La Plata and San Martin drew 2-2 at Tigre.
In Sunday's fixtures, Velez will host Banfield, Lanus are at home to Aldosivi, San Martin de Tucuman travel to Rosario Central and Huracan host defending champions Boca Juniors. Enditem
