BEIJING, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Wang Huning on Saturday met with Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba ahead of the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
Wang, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, said China will work with Gabon to seize the Belt and Road opportunities, expand cooperation of mutual benefits, and elevate China-Gabon comprehensive cooperative partnership to a new level.
Bongo said Gabon is willing to strengthen political mutual trust, step up pragmatic cooperation, and translate the Gabon-China friendship into fruitful cooperation to benefit the people.
