BERLIN, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Marie-Josee Ta Lou from Cote d'Ivoire ran the first place after clocking 11.08 seconds in the women's 100 meters race at the 77th edition of the International Stadium Festival (ISTAF) in Berlin's Olympic Stadium on Sunday.

Ta Lou ensured a good start into the race and established a narrow lead, which she was able to carry over the finish line.

"I am happy about the win, however, I am not happy about the time, but I have an injury in my knee so I just had to manage making it to the finish line," Ta Lou said after the race.

Michaelle-Lee Ahye concluded the race on the second place with 11.13 seconds followed by Germany's Gina Lueckenkemper, who staged a strong finish to grab the third place in 11.18 seconds.

The ISTAF in Berlin's Olympic Stadium is the biggest athletics meeting in the world and attracts annually 50.000 spectators as approximately 180 athletes from 40 countries and regions compete in 15 disciplines. Enditem
