MADRID, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Spanish Ibex-35-stock exchange closed at virtually the same level it opened trading on Tuesday.
The Ibex-35 opened on 9,376.10 points and closed on the 9,376.30 points, an increase of two tenths of a point after fluctuations during the day saw it reach a maximum value of 9,436.10 points and a minimum of 9,308.70.
Spain's banks performed well with Caixabank, Bankinter and Bankia being the best three performers on the Ibex-35 that increased by 4.43 percent, 2.21 percent and 1.50 percent respectively.
Banco Sabadell followed with a rise of 1.40 in its share prices.
Tecnicas Reunidas, which specializes in engineering, design and construction, was the biggest loser of the day, with a 3.20 percent fall in shares, while media company Mediaset continued its recent trend of losses by losing 2.93 percent and steel producer Arcelormittal saw 2.25 percent taken of its value.
