FRANKFURT, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 85.21 points, or 0.71 percent, to close at 11,955.25 points.
Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer lost the most among the blue chips, down by 4.16 percent, followed by material manufacturer Covestro and semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies, which lost 2.76 percent and 2.43 percent respectively.
Energy group RWE, Deutsche Post and multinational chemical firm Linde were the top three winners, rising 1.70 percent, 1.08 percent and 0.50 percent respectively.
Bayer was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 451.30 million euros (525.04 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
