TEHRAN, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Iranian intelligence forces managed to destroy two "terrorist cells" in western provinces of Kermanshah and Kurdistan, Tasnim news agency reported on Friday.
In an armed clash, two militants were killed and one was captured, said the report.
Kalashnikov rifles, grenades as well as some telecommunication equipment and cash were confiscated in the operation.
The media report did not elaborate on the affiliation of the militants, but the two western provinces of Iran have been the scene of bloody clashes between the Iranian security forces and the Kurdish rebels over the past years.
