LONDON, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.56 percent, or 41.26 points, to close at 7,277.70 points.
Smith & Nephew, a British multinational medical equipment manufacturing company, soared 2.18 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Sage Group and WPP increased by 2.00 percent and 1.79 percent, respectively.
