LUANDA, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- Angola defeated Botswana 1-0 on Sunday, a match of the second round of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
The only goal of the game held at the 11 de Novembro stadium in Luanda, was scored by Angolan Gelson Dala in the 30th minute.
In June 2017 Angola lost 3-1 away to Burkina Faso in a match of the first round of the playoffs of CAN 2019.
Angola play next with Mauritania, isolated leader of the group, after triumph Saturday over Burkina Faso.
The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches are organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to decide the participating teams of the continent championship.
