WASHINGTON, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- A small plane crashed Sunday in Lake Worth, a coastal city in the southeast of the U.S. state of Florida, killing the two people on board, said local authorities.
Police said the twin-engine Cessna C335 crashed before noon at John Prince Park just south of Palm Beach State College.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the aircraft departed from Key West, the southernmost point in the United States, and was headed to Palm Beach county Park Airport less than two kilometers from the crash site.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash.
