FRANKFURT, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Monday, with the benchmark DAX index down 27.92 points, or 0.23 percent, to close at 12,096.41 points.
Multinational chemical firm Linde lost 2.34 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by chemical and consumer goods company Henkel and German multinational software corporation SAP, which lost 2.21 percent and 1.15 percent respectively.
German industrial giant Thyssenkrupp gained 1.45 percent, becoming the top gainer. Multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer advanced 1.28 percent. Deutsche Bank went up by 1.26 percent.
Bayer was the most traded share with a turnover of 223.60 million euros (260.96 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
