FRANKFURT, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Wednesday, with the benchmark DAX index up 61.35 points, or 0.50 percent, to close at 12,219.02 points.
Multinational chemical firm Linde won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 7.22 percent. Commerzbank and Deutsche Bank rose by 3.75 percent and 3.17 percent respectively.
Energy group E.ON lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 2.51 percent. Housing association Vonovia was down by 2.47 percent. Energy group RWE went down by 1.25 percent.
Volkswagen was the most-traded share, with a turnover of 237.65 million euros (277.26 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
