MADRID, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares gained on Wednesday with the benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 up 0.41 percent or 38.80 points, to 9,486.30 points.
A total of 17 of the selected 35 large companies gained in the day.
Steel manufacturing corporation ArcelorMittal advanced 3.92 percent, being the top gainer of the day. Spain's lender Bankinter rose 2.86 percent and Spain's fourth largest bank Bankia went up by 2.32 percent. Infrastructure company Tecnicas Reunidas lost 4.29 percent, being the top loser of the blue chips.
