Chicago agricultural commodities close mixed

CHICAGO, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural commodities closed mixed on Friday, with corn futures rising over 1 percent on higher-than-expected weekly export.

The most active corn contract for December delivery went up 4.75 cents, or 1.35 percent to close at 3.5725 dollars per bushel. December wheat delivery fell 2.25 cents, or 0.43 percent to close at 5.2175 dollars per bushel. November soybean delivery went down 3 cents, or 0.35 percent to close at 8.4725 dollars per bushel.

Wheat and soybean futures declined but were still on track to post weekly advances.

CBOT brokers estimate that funds have bought 4,000 contracts of corn and sold 2,500 each in wheat and soybeans.

As for weather forecast for agricultural crop, flash flood watches and flood warnings are in effect for parts of southwestern Wisconsin, southeastern Minnesota and northeastern Iowa this morning, according to the National Weather Service. Enditem
