RABAT, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Entente Setif of Algeria held title holders Wydad Casablanca to a goalless draw in the second leg of their African Champions League quaterfinals encounter on Friday to advance to the semifinals.

In the first leg, Entente Setif defeated Wydad Casablanca 1-0 in Setif.

At Mohammed V Complex, the Moroccan team largely dominated the match and created numerous attempts, but they were unable to convert any of their clear chances into goals.

Twice champions Wydad were hot favourites to reach the semi-finals at the expense of Setif, who had the least impressive record of the eight survivors in the premier African club competition.

Setif lost three matches en route to the last-eight stage, while Wydad were among six clubs beaten only once.

Entente Setif joined Angola's Primeiro de Agosto and Tunisia's Esperance to African Champions League semi-finals.

The Algerians will now face the winner of the last quarter finals encounter between Al Ahly of Egypt and Horoya of Guinea.
