LIMA -- Peru's Attorney General's Office on Saturday opened a preliminary case against former president, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, for the vote buying allegations that led to his resignation in March.

ADEN, Yemen -- Yemeni troops backed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) launched a fresh anti-terror operation against the al-Qaida group in southeastern Yemen on Saturday.

CAIRO -- An Egyptian court declined on Saturday an appeal for reconciliation in a corruption case submitted by ousted former President Hosni Mubarak and his two sons, official MENA news agency reported.
