MAPUTO, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Mozambican Administrative Court (TA) on Thursday urged here the government to release all information on ProSavana, the cooperative agrarian project among the Mozambican, Brazilian and Japanese governments.

The announcement was jointly made by the Mozambican Bar Association (OAM), which states that the Mozambican Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has not provided information on the functioning and decisions about ProSavana with its impact on the rights and liberties of the affected communities.

"The OAM considers that the Mozambican government has not shared with civil society the information on how the 14.5 million hectares of communities destined to ProSavana will be managed and if the rights of communities on land are assured," says the announcement, giving the Ministry of Agriculture 10 days to respond to the order.

"We urge the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to make available all information of public interest concerning the organization, functioning and decisions that may interfere with the rights and other issues of citizens, particularly those related to land, food security and nutrition of the communities covered by ProSavana," says the document.

Since the project was launched in 2011 with the aim of developing Mozambican agriculture along the Nacala corridor in the north of the country, it has drawn complaints from the civil society for the lack of transparency and usurpation of land.

The civil society has launched a campaign against the project, in 2014, calling for its halt.
