JERUSALEM, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli high-tech company Electreon Wireless will examine and demonstrate its technology for charging moving electric vehicles with an electric bus of the Chinese company Higer, the Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported Monday.

The testing, due to take place within weeks in a special road segment in central Israel, will also involve the supermini electric car Renault Zoe.

The new charging method, which allows the use of smaller and cheaper batteries, is expected to save high costs of installing charging spots throughout the cities and transferring power lines.

The charging is carried out wirelessly as the deeply-installled coil infrastructure distances the radiation source from the road surface.

Founded in 2013, Electreon Wireless recently entered the final stage in Sweden's first tender for the construction of an electric charging road.
