NEW YORK, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale jolted 144km ESE of Kimbe, Papua New Guinea at 20:48:20 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 33.0 km, was initially determined to be at 5.9 degrees south latitude and 151.4 degrees east longitude.
