CHICAGO, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural futures traded mixed on Friday morning, with corn and soybeans falling further due to less-than-expected weekly export sales.

As of 1519 GMT, the most active December corn was down 2.5 cents at 3.6825 dollars per bushel, and November soybeans were down 3.5 cents at 8.60 dollars per bushel, while December wheat was up 3.75 cents at 5.1675 dollars per bushel.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Thursday released its export sales report for the period of Oct. 5-11, 2018, showing corn and soybean exports were much less than trade estimates, with corn sales hitting an early marketing year low.

The bearish news dragged down CBOT corn and soybean futures.

During that week, U.S. exporters reported sales of 382,500 metric tons of corn, compared with the trade's expectations of between 800,000 and 1,250,000 metric tons.

Soybean sales only reached 293,600 metric tons, versus the trade's expectations of between 600,000 and 1,000,000 metric tons. Enditem
