Choirs from 9 countries perform in Beijing

BEIJING, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Choirs from nine countries performed at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing on Friday.

As part of a week-long international art festival for the youth, young singers from Austria, China, Finland, Latvia, Malaysia, Poland, South Africa, Spain, and the United States put on four choral music performances for the audience.

Choirs from China, Finland and Malaysia carried out joint performances of multiple songs.

Apart from the choral performances, concerts, workshops and lectures will also be hosted to promote exchanges and friendship among young people from different countries, the NCPA said.
