BEIJING, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- A package of draft revisions on 15 laws, including the Wild Animal Conservation Law and the Metrology Law, was submitted to an ongoing bi-monthly session of China's top legislature on Monday.
Focusing on the duties of central authorities in charge of different areas, the drafts were made in accordance with a key institutional reform plan adopted by the National People's Congress (NPC) on March 17.
For example, the customs and quarantine offices used to be parallel law enforcement agencies under the Wild Animal Conservation Law, but the latter are now a part of the customs administration.
"The relevant clause of that law needs to be revised accordingly," said Deputy Justice Minister Zhao Dacheng, while presenting the draft revisions to the NPC Standing Committee.
