TIANJIN, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- South Korean Choi Kang-hee was named the new coach of Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian on Saturday.

Quanjian announced on their website that Choi will take the helm after the 2018 season. But details of the contract were not released.

Choi is currently the coach of K League 1 champions, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. Since taking the helm at Jeonbuk in 2005, he has won six K League 1 titles, the most of any coach, in addition to one Korea Football Association Cup trophy and two Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League crowns.

Quanjian now stays ninth in the CSL standings. With two rounds of play remaining, Quanjian is just four points above the relegation zone.
