WINDHOEK, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Namibian National Soccer team coach Ricardo Mannetti has called on his charges to be resolute ahead of the make or break African Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea-Bissau on the weekend of November 18.
He will announce his final 23 squad later this week.
An upbeat Mannetti on Monday said he will put his faith in the same team that has carried him so far for the tough assignment with the West Africans.
"Well our league is not yet in full swing so will most likely stick with at least 90 percent of the squad that I used in the tie against Mozambique. I will however officially announce the squad on Wednesday but so far I don't see any changes," he said.
The Namibian coach expressed satisfaction with the support coming from the corporate world and his technical team.
Mannetti also added that, "I would like the guys to keep their eyes on the ball and leave unnecessary issues off the field to me. Of course I would want them to be on their best mentally and physically and you know if we can win this one at home it will make our chances of qualifying even much better and what better way of doing it than in front of the fans."
Namibia are currently on seven points with two wins and one draw and are combine group leaders with Equatorial Guinea who are slightly superior on goal difference.
A win will put them one foot at the AFCON championships which will be hosted next winter in Cameroon. Other teams in their group include Mozambique, Zambia and Equatorial Guinea.
