RIYADH, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- The Saudi Interpol warned on Thursday the public of dealing with virtual currencies, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The warning was made in relation to a circular by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), highlighting that its cyber crime unit is investigating a major case of websites offering Bitcoin investments that cheated a large number of victims around the world.
The Saudi Interpol warned of major negative implications of dealing with suspicious websites and illegal financial transactions. It highlighted that such currencies aren't under the regulations of the kingdom and they are handled by unauthorized individuals.
