PARIS, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Memphis Depay inspired Lyon to a 4-2 road victory over bottom side Guingamp with two goals and two assists, while Montpellier lost the chance of returning to second place after a 1-0 loss to Angers in the 13th round of Ligue 1 on Saturday.

Marcus Thuram, the son of former French international and 1998 World Cup winner Lilian Thuram, saw his looping header over Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes in the 22nd minute.

Trailing 0-1 into the halftime, Lyon demonstrated their attacking firepower spearheaded by Depay in the second half. The Dutch striker teed up Hossem Aouar to level the score in the 63rd minute, four minutes before curling a shot himself.

A brilliant free-kick from Depay moved Lyon further ahead in the 73rd minute. Thuram pulled one back through a penalty following Jeremy Morel's handball, but Depay made his contribution again with six minutes remaining by guiding Maxwel Cornet's volley.

Guingamp are restrained to the last spot, level on points with last season's runners-up Monaco, who will host leaders Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.

Romain Thomas scored the only goal for Angers in the 69th minute, as he headed Pierrick Capelle's left foot corner home to end Montpellier's 11-match unbeaten run.

Montpellier are one point behind second-placed Lille, who were held to a goalless draw by Strasbourg on Friday.

Also on Saturday, Saint-Etienne beat Reims 2-0 to remain fifth. Nice climbed to the sixth place after triumphing at nine-man Nimes 1-0. Toulouse lost to Amiens 1-0.
