Chicago agricultural commodities settle higher

CHICAGO, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) agricultural commodities closed higher on Thursday, with wheat futures rising on export demand from overseas market.

CBOT soybean futures edged higher on investors' technical buying and corn futures also went up.

The most active corn contract for December delivery went up 0.5 cent, or 0.14 percent, to close at 3.675 dollars per bushel. December wheat delivery rose 2.5 cents, or 0.5 percent, to close at 5.055 dollars per bushel. January 2019 soybean delivery rose 5.25 cents, or 0.59 percent, to close at 8.8875 dollars per bushel.

As for weather forecast for agricultural crop, winter weather is hammering parts of the eastern half of the United States including several areas in the Midwest area. Two thirds of South Illinois are facing winter storms and ice warnings this morning, according to the National Weather Service. Enditem
