AMMAN, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Jordan and Iraq agreed on Thursday to form a team to develope a roadmap for exploring and intensifying cooperation.
At a meeting in the capital Amman, Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his Iraqi counterpart Mohammed Ali al-Hakim agreed to boost cooperation between the two countries in line with specific programs and timeframes.
Safadi highlighted Jordan's support for Iraq and its efforts to restore stability.
On the Palestinian issue, they both underlined the need for achieving the two-state solution to create an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
On Syria, the two ministers called for a political solution to end the crisis in the country and ensure its unity.
