FRANKFURT, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- German stocks closed flat on Friday, with the benchmark DAX index down 12.67 points, or 0.11 percent, to close at 11,341.00 points.
Semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies lost 4.40 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by automotive manufacturer Volkswagen and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer, which lost 2.97 percent and 2.49 percent respectively.
Marketplace organizer for the trading of shares and securities Deutsche Boerse group gained 4.47 percent, becoming the top gainer. Energy group RWE and pharmaceutical company Merck advanced 3.13 percent and 2.17 percent respectively.
Bayer was the most traded share with a turnover of 340.51 million euros (386.34 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
