6.9-magnitude quake hits 253km SE of Lambasa, Fiji -- USGS

NEW YORK, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale jolted 253km SE of Lambasa, Fiji at 20:25:46 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 546.0 km, was initially determined to be at 17.9 degrees south latitude and 178.8 degrees west longitude.
