TUNIS, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the year 2019 will be held in Tunisia, a Tunisian minister said Friday.
Speaking at the Assembly of People's Representatives (parliament), Zied Ladhaari, Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation, said the EBRD's annual meeting is part of the business forum for the South African region and the east of the Mediterranean.
Since September of 2012, the EBRD investments in Tunisia have reached approximately 71 million euros (80.34 million U.S. dollars) for the implementation of 33 projects.
Support for regional development in Tunisia, which became a member of the financial institution in 2012, is a priority for the bank, according to Ladhaari.
