RABAT, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan King Mohammed VI on Monday visited Gabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba at the military hospital of Rabat, official MAP news agency reported.
Bongo was hospitalized in Saudi Arabia in late October after suffering a stroke. On Wednesday, Moroccan Foreign Ministry said Bongo will receive treatment in Morocco.
During the visit, the king was informed about the health status of Bongo who is staying in Morocco for rehabilitation and recovery, MAP said.
The king wished swift recovery to Bongo.
Bongo has been president of Gabon since 2009. He was re-elected in 2016.
