Iran's non-oil trade with 6 Gulf states reaches 13.84 bln USD

TEHRAN, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Iran traded 27.4 million tons of non-oil commodities worth 13.84 billion U.S. dollars with six Gulf nations during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-Oct. 22), Eghtesadonline news website reported on Wednesday.

The six Gulf nations are Iraq, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

The figures registered a 19.92 percent rise in weight and 10.96 percent growth in value compared with last year's corresponding period.

Iran's exports to the Gulf nations totaled 26.03 million tons worth 10.69 billion U.S. dollars during the period, and imports stood at 1.37 million tons worth 3.15 billion U.S. dollars.

Iran mainly exported gas condensate, liquefied natural gas, low density oil, hydrocarbon gases, hydrocarbons, copper cathode, tomatoes, iron and non-alloy steel ingot, household cleaning detergents, bitumen, ice cream, iron and steel pipes, semi-finished iron and non-alloy steel products, floorings, and watermelons to the Gulf nations.

In exchange, major commodities imported into Iran from the six nations included cellphones, butter, steam turbines parts, turbojet parts, frozen boneless cow parts, benzene and machinery.
