Dollar changes hands in upper 112 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Friday, largely in line with its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.74-75 yen compared with 112.61-71 yen in New York and 113.08-10 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1376-1376 dollars and 128.25-26 yen against 1.1374-1384 dollars and 128.16-26 yen in New York and 1.1324-1325 dollars and 128.05-09 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
