TOKYO, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened higher Wednesday.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 303.30 points, or 1.43 percent, from Tuesday to 21,451.32.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 21.66 points, or 1.37 percent, at 1,596.97.
Rubber product, real estate and precision instrument-linked issues comprised those that advanced the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell.
