QUITO, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Real Valladolid have reached an agreement with Ecuador's Independiente del Valle to sign highly rated teenager Stiven Plaza.

Former Brazil striker Ronaldo, the Spanish club's majority owner, visited Independiente's headquarters in the northern city of Sangolqui to finalize details of the transfer.

"I saw some videos and I was very interested. Stiven Plaza is ready to fly," Ronaldo told reporters.

The 1994 and 2002 World Cup winner said Valladolid would acquire 65 percent of the forward's economic rights for three million euros.

Plaza is expected to join the La Liga club during Europe's winter transfer window next month.

The 19-year-old scored seven goals in 19 games for Independiente in Ecuador's top division this year.
