Dollar changes hands in mid-112 yen range in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the mid-112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Wednesday, predominantly in line with its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 112.52-53 yen compared with 112.47-57 yen in New York and 112.51-53 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1375-1376 dollars and 127.99-128.00 yen against 1.1357-1367 dollars and 127.84-94 yen in New York and 1.1357-1359 dollars and 127.78-82 yen in late Tuesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
