Cycling Invitational Tournament around Dianchi lake kicks off

KUNMING, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- The 2018 Kunming Tour of Dianchi Lake Cycling Invitational Tournament kicked off on Saturday in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan Province.

Mongolian cyclist Batsaikhan Tegshbayar from Chinese Taipei RTS Racing Team won the first prize in 2:20:29.53 in the 110-kilometer International Road. China's Qi Junshan from the Gansu Cycling Team won third prize.

Li Yuheng, Li Zhen and Zhang Ruibiao from Kunming City Team won the top three prizes in the Men's Road Youth Group.

The tournament, which featured five disciplines including International Road, Men's Road Youth Group, Men's Road Amateur Group, Men's Mountain Bike Amateur Group and Women's Mountain Bike Amateur Group, attracted a total of 22 teams from China, France, Mongolia, Malaysia and other countries and regions.

The full course of both International Road and Men's Road Youth Group is 110 kilometers, and 43 kilometers for Amateur Group.

Since the debut in 2011, Kunming Tour of Dianchi Lake Cycling Invitational Tournament has been increasingly developed and become one of Kunming's famous sports events.

Located in Kunming, capital of Yunnan, Dianchi Lake is the largest fresh water lake on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, covering more than 300 square kilometers.
