KUWAIT CITY, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait appointed on Monday four new ministers including the oil minister, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) said.
The Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah issued a decree to appoint new ministers, KUNA said.
According the decree, Khaled al-Fadhel was appointed as minister of oil and minister of electricity and water, Saad Ibrahim al-Kharaz as minister of social affairs, Fahd Ali Zayed as minister of Islamic affairs and minister of state for municipal affairs, and Maryam Hashem as minister of state for economic affairs.
The Kuwaiti cabinet on Monday accepted the resignations of Fadhel's predecessor, Bakhit al-Rashidi, and the three other ministers, KUNA said.
