KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- At least three people were confirmed dead and two others injured in a suicide attack that rocked Aino Mina town in Kandahar city, the capital of southern Kandahar province, on Tuesday, an official said.
The casualties, the official who declined to be named said, could be higher as the blast hit a residential area.
However, provincial government spokesman Aziz Ahmad Azizi has confirmed the attack, but could not provide more details, saying an investigation was underway.
